Meet Finn!

Finn is a 1 year old, male, brown, Lab / Australian Kelpie mix that weighs approximately 20 lbs.   Finn was strayed as a puppy and therefore did not come with any known breed history.  He was labeled a ‘Lab Mix’ by the shelter then.  However, as he has grown-up he seems to have to some Kelpie traits as well so we are listing him as delightful mix of the two breeds!

Finn is a very sweet, intelligent and loyal pup!   He is active and he loves to play catch with a tennis ball.  He enjoys playing with toys and chewing his Nylabone.  Finn gets along well with other dogs and he enjoys playing with them once properly introduced.  However, when it comes to his humans Finn wants all of their attention for himself!  He is a smart, curious boy and he keeps himself busy.  Finn will keep his eye on you when you are cooking dinner.  When you sit down he will visit your chair to collect a belly rub.  After his tummy is sufficiently scratched and he has gotten his fill of affection from his person Finn will likely have to get back to the important work of exploring the yard, smelling things and playing!   Finn has a comfy little dog bed he likes to nap on during the day but come night time he will want to curl up with you in your bed.  Finn is housetrained and knows how to use a doggy door.

As he’s only 1 year old, Finn is active and needs a home where he will get daily exercise and play time.  He would love to go for walks or hikes with his new family.  He is very intelligent he would benefit from a family that has the time to teach/train him.  Finn’s style of play can be ‘mouthy’ so he’d do best in a home with older children or no children.
