Meet Walter - a small 2 year old terrier mix dog with a big personality! Walter is in a foster home with other dogs, kids and cats and had adjusted well. The other dogs in the home aren't impressed with Walter but he's happy to be near the kids and enjoys chasing the cats. He has never tried to hurt the cats but we are still working on getting him to not chase them as much. A home with a dog-savy cat would probably be fine for him. Walter doesn't seem to be interested in dog treats/bones but loves a bite of a hot dog every now and then and he's been known to steal a flop flop to chew on so keep a watchful eye on him! Going into a new situation Walter can be a little shy and skiddish but in no time he will be grabbing at your hand for attention. He definitely likes to use his mouth affectionately, licking and grabbing you, so small children may not be a good fit if this behavior makes them nervous or scared of him. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body - he's a happy-go-lucky guy! He is doing well with house training and has only had accidents when he was not taken out in a timely manner. He is current on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.
