Hi! My name is Toby. If you are reading this you’ve obviously seen my picture. I told them to take a really good one because it will help me find a loving home. I hope I was smiling. :) Everyone seems to worry about me because I'm blind now but I don't really care about that. I'm just happy to be alive! Besides, my eyes were never my best quality anyway. It’s my personality that everyone loves! I know that everyone is curious and wants to know ‘my story’ so I’ll share that really quickly and then we can get on to the important stuff about me. I was found by some really nice people in Mexico. Someone mistreated me. I had extensive damage to both of my eyes. I'm told the pictures of my injuries are too graphic to post; both of my eyes were popping out of their sockets. The nice veterinarian said he thought someone may have choked me. I really don't remember and don't want to dwell on that. All these nice people rallied around me and raised enough money for me to get the surgery and medical care I needed! I got so excited to hear that I was going to the United States when I was all better. Well…I'm all healed and here I am in the care of ARF! Now on to the good stuff! I love being alive. Yes, I have to adjust to not being able to see but my sniffer works just fine! :) My ears work great too! I love to hear people say my name and I can’t help but wag my tail. (You guessed it! My tail works fine too!) I just arrived at my foster family’s house on April 24th so I haven’t been able to show them all the good stuff about me yet. They said that they will post more about me in the next few weeks. For now, I just wanted to introduce myself. I am looking for a family to adopt me and love me. Maybe it will be you!
