Meet Miss Milly!

Milly is a 1 year old, female, white and black Papillion mix that weighs approximately 5 lbs.  It was hard to capture how tiny she is in the pictures.  She is size of a kitten.

When we received Milly from the Yuma Humane Society she was quite fearful.  This little angel has really blossomed in foster care.   She has a delightful personality, is calm, gentle, funny and very rarely barks.  She enjoys being part of the pack of dogs in her foster home.  She is the tiniest of the bunch but her quiet confidence has earned her the respect of all the other pups.

Once you gain her trust, Miss Milly will delight you in every way.  Her favorite place in the house will be on your lap.  She can see better from up there, she won’t get stepped on if she’s in your lap and it’s also nice and cozy!   Milly does not like to be picked-up and she rarely needs to be picked-up.  She is entirely capable of getting where she wants to be most of the time.  She has a super soft coat and enjoys being pet and snuggling with her person.  She has started to play with one of the more gentle dogs in her foster home.  She’ll reach up and grab a toy he has and embark on a tiny game of tug.  It’s very cute!  If you are looking for a tiny dog to carry in a purse or to put in a tutu…that’s not really Miss Milly’s thing as she doesn't like to be handled.  She is a very smart, capable dog. 

Milly is a toy breed and as such is very fragile.  Owning a toy breed means constant supervision and surveillance of what's going on around your small dog.  She is not suited for a home with young children.  Miss Milly would do best in a home where she has at least one other canine companion.  Milly requires regular combing to keep her coat smooth. 

Miss Milly is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and comes with a lifetime registration microchip.  Milly’s adoption fee is $250.  If you would like to meet/adopt Miss Milly please fill out an online adoption application on the Animal Rescue Friends website and one of our volunteers will contact you.
